Vorbasse is known for its annual horse market, which is held in July. Each year, 250.000 people visit the market, which is one of the largest in Denmark. Besides, Vorbasse offers fine opportunities for shopping as the town features a bakery, a supermarket and a clothes shop. The village pond, which is also known as “Vorbasse Naval Base” is the perfect goal for an idyllic walk. Vorbasse Leisure Centre, which features an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and much more offers plenty of opportunities for exercising.

Vorbasse is situated a mere 15 kilometres south of Billund. This city houses the famous LEGOLAND ® amusement park, Billund Airport and also LALANDIA Waterpark. Other attractions in the area include: Givskud Lion Zoo, the North Sea and various golf courts.

If you prefer to spend your time in a city instead, there is only a 30-minute drive to Vejle, Kolding and Esbjerg – and a one-hour drive to Odense, where you can walk in the footsteps of the famous author Hans Christian Andersen. From Vorbasse there is just a 75-minute drive to the second largest city in Denmark, Aarhus. Here, you will find excellent opportunities for shopping as well as “Tivoli Friheden” and, of course, “The Old Town” - or “the National Open Air Museum of Urban History and Culture”, which is its official name.
